On Saturday evening, ahead of the inauguration of US President Donald J. Trump, Silicon Valley and Washington dignitaries gathered at billionaire Peter Thiel’s Beaux-Arts mansion in the capital.

Notable attendees included casino magnate and prominent Zionist Miriam Adelson, one of the richest individuals globally; Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg; Vice President J.D. Vance, known for fostering Trump’s ties with Silicon Valley; Donald Trump Jr.; Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson; and billionaire entrepreneur David Sacks, a close friend of Thiel and a key figure in the Trump administration.

Prominent guests from the technology sector on the male-dominated list included OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, cryptocurrency investors Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, and Alexandr Wang, CEO of ScaleAI, one of the world’s leading artificial intelligence firms.

Other attendees included Chamath Palihapitiya, Jason Calacanis, and David Friedberg, hosts of the All-In podcast with Sacks; former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick; and new Silicon Valley executives such as Jacob Helberg, Ken Howery, and Sriram Krishnan. Senators Bill Hagerty, Ted Cruz, and Dave McCormick were also in attendance.

According to The New York Times, House Speaker Mike Johnson described the party as “a lot of fun,” highlighting the camaraderie as the event’s best feature.

The festivities extended beyond Thiel’s gathering. On Friday evening, the Crypto Ball, a pro-Trump event hosted by the cryptocurrency industry, featured Snoop Dogg performing Bob Marley’s iconic Everything’s Gonna Be All Right for Silicon Valley executives and top cryptocurrency investors. Despite their wealth, some guests endured long queues in the cold to attend.

Meanwhile, a block away, Washington’s power elite gathered at a downtown steakhouse. According to The New York Times, lobbyist Brian Ballard, a key figure poised to benefit from a Trump resurgence, received widespread accolades while networking with potential clients.
