Republican members of Congress delivered this message to Secretary of State Marco Rubio and White House officials, emphasizing that a military operation launched without Congressional approval would be deemed unacceptable.<\/p>\n

It was noted that if President Donald Trump decides to take military action toward Greenland, an impeachment procedure could be initiated against him.<\/p>\n

Sources familiar with the matter told<\/a><\/span> Reuters that Republican lawmakers explicitly cautioned Secretary of State Marco Rubio and senior White House aides regarding this issue.<\/p>\n

According to one source, legislators from both sides of the aisle have advised the Trump administration to abandon the idea of seizing the Danish autonomous territory through the use of force.<\/p>\n
