These include that a political transition ensuring representation for all Syrian minority groups, adherence to human rights and women’s rights, and a firm rejection of terrorism and extremism.<\/p>\n Similarly, Spanish Foreign Minister Jos\u00e9 Manuel Albares underscored the importance of respecting EU \u201cred lines.\u201d These include safeguarding Syria\u2019s territorial integrity and eliminating foreign interference.<\/p>\n \u201cIf these issues are adequately addressed, we can open discussions about lifting sanctions,\u201d Albares said.<\/p>\n Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp reinforced the EU’s demand for the removal of Russian military bases from Syria. \u201cWe want the Russians out,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n In a pointed statement, Kallas warned Syria\u2019s new leaders against relying on Russia and Iran. \u201cRussia and Iran are not your friends.
