A group of senior Religious Zionist rabbis affiliated with the Torat Haaretz HaTova organization sent a letter to US President Donald Trump on Wednesday, calling him “a divine messenger in the global struggle for morality and justice.”

Praising Trump’s leadership, the rabbis described the president’s role as part of a “historic mission” to “promote ethical values” and “fight extremism.”

Claiming that Trump was chosen by God for this important role, the rabbis commended the new president’s efforts to support the US, Israel, and the “free world.” They emphasized that the fight against “radical terrorism” is not just a regional conflict, but “a battle for the survival of moral and just values worldwide.”

“Judaism’s war against radical Islam, in the midst of which we now find ourselves, is in fact the free world’s war against brutal violence that hates civilization and the moral values that all nations inherit from the Bible,” they said in the letter.

The rabbis also linked Trump’s policies to biblical prophecies, claiming that Moses and the prophets of Israel foretold the establishment of the Jewish state, the return of the exiles, the rebuilding of Jerusalem, and the settlement of the West Bank and Gaza.

“The settlement of the Land of Israel brings blessings and peace to the entire world and symbolizes a return to the values given at Mount Sinai,” the Zionist rabbis wrote.

“We see more and more the fulfillment of these prophecies, and in your actions and words we see the right path that brings good to the world,” the rabbis wrote, claiming that many of Trump’s actions are in line with the divine will.

The letter concluded by praying for Trump’s success and expressing hope that he will continue to fulfill his mission:

“We pray that God will protect you and those around you in the Land of Israel and in Jerusalem, that His blessings will be upon your work, and that you will bring peace and prosperity to the entire world.”
