Reports indicate that the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office may possess “sensitive and personal images” of an Israeli army officer. According to KAN television, this incident highlights the “tense relationship” between Netanyahu’s office and the Israeli army.

The current crisis between Israel’s Prime Minister’s Office and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), which recently led to the dismissal of the Defense Minister, has exposed a new scandal. KAN reported that two months ago, a complaint was submitted to the Israeli General Staff alleging that Netanyahu’s office holds “sensitive and personal images” of an Israeli officer who formerly worked there. This complaint was reportedly filed out of concern that the images might be retained for “malicious purposes.”

The report further stated that this incident is “another example of the strained relationship” between Netanyahu’s office and Israel’s security services.

Meanwhile, Channel 12 disclosed that an investigation is underway to determine if “two senior officials” in the Prime Minister’s Office were involved in leaking “sensitive footage” from security cameras. Due to the ongoing investigation, few additional details are available, and a gag order has been imposed on the case.

Prime Minister’s office alleges a campaign against it

It has been revealed that Israeli police are investigating the initial days of the attacks on Gaza, which began on October 7. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s office claims this investigation is part of a larger “campaign directed against the Prime Minister’s Office.”

In a statement regarding the criminal investigation, which has been quietly conducted by Israel’s anti-corruption unit for the past six months, the Prime Minister’s Office commented, “An unprecedented campaign is being waged against the Prime Minister’s Office in the midst of a war.”

Recently, a new scandal involving the leakage of confidential documents has surfaced. Five individuals, including Eliezer Feldstein, an adviser to Netanyahu, were arrested as part of the investigation. The leaked documents, allegedly forged to appear as Hamas intelligence, were reportedly provided to the foreign press by the Prime Minister’s Office in an effort to influence public opinion.

The Israeli press remarked that this incident has “stirred significant concern and anger” within the Israeli security establishment. It is anticipated that this will heighten tensions between Netanyahu, his close advisors, and military officials.
