In Tehran and the majority of provinces, the rallies were scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM local time on Monday, while several other regions saw demonstrations begin earlier in the morning.

Iranian officials have characterized today’s nationwide show of support as a testament to national unity, asserting that such displays safeguard the country’s resilience.

According to Press TV, authorities have acknowledged the legitimacy of peaceful economic grievances and pledged to address them.

However, they simultaneously maintained that concerns regarding the rising cost of living and the devaluation of the national currency are being exploited by foreign-backed elements.

Officials emphasized that the currency’s decline is directly linked to unilateral US sanctions targeting the Central Bank of Iran and the nation’s oil exports.

Furthermore, Iranian authorities alleged that those responsible for recent violent incidents and fatalities are receiving support from the US and the Israeli regime.

US President Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed his support for the protesters and issued warnings that Washington could take action against Iran if “peaceful protesters” are harmed.

Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has also made statements referencing the role of the Mossad and potential separatist agendas. Yesterday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu similarly voiced his support for the protest movement.

These state-sanctioned rallies follow a Friday address by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

During his speech, Khamenei emphasized that the state “would not retreat in the face of vandals” and issued a call for national solidarity, reiterating that a “unified nation can overcome any enemy.”
