Yair Golan accuses Israel of killing children as a hobby, government denies

Yair Golan described the Israeli government as being “in moral collapse, vengeful, and threatening.” He stated, “A normal state does not wage war against civilians.”
Yair Golan, leader of the Israeli Democrats party and former Deputy Chief of Staff, harshly criticized the attacks in Gaza and the objective of driving Palestinians to southern Gaza and then to other countries, during an interview with state television KAN.
Asserting that the government is “vengeful, full of immoral people, weak,” and constitutes a threat to Israel’s existence, Golan remarked, “A normal state does not wage war against civilians, does not kill children as a hobby, and does not set itself the goal of displacing a people. Israel is progressing towards becoming a pariah state among nations.”
Golan’s statements elicited reactions from both the ruling party and the opposition in Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, responding to Golan’s assertion that “they aim to kill children,” claimed that the attacks on Gaza are intended “to rescue the captive soldiers there and to defeat Hamas.”
Main opposition party Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid also condemned Golan’s statements, arguing that “saying soldiers kill children for a hobby is a lie and a gift to enemies.”
Ceasefire in Gaza shelved, occupation plan in effect
The Israeli army terminated the ceasefire, which began on January 19, on the morning of March 18 and recommenced intense attacks on Gaza. In these recent assaults, 3,340 Palestinians, predominantly children, women, and the elderly, were killed, and 9,357 individuals were injured.
Since October 7, 2023, the death toll of Palestinians in Gaza has reached 53,475, with 121,398 injured.
Israel, having activated its plan for the permanent occupation of the region following US President Donald Trump’s Gulf tour and intensifying its attacks under the operation named Gideon’s Carts, reportedly plans to confine Palestinians driven to southern Gaza in “concentration camps” and permit only enough aid for their basic survival.
Israeli ministers have announced intentions to demolish everything intact in the Gaza Strip and to relocate Palestinians first to the south and subsequently to other countries.
The Israeli government declared it would permit basic food supplies into Gaza to avert famine. While this measure by the Israeli government met with objections from far-right elements, only five trucks of essential foodstuffs reached Gaza on Monday.

An assault on the Axis of Resistance: The Israeli escalation against Iran and its impact on Palestine and Gaza

Khaled al-Yamani, Lebanese leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP)
Events in the region are accelerating as if we are on the brink of a new political and security earthquake, led by the direct confrontation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Zionist entity, under blatant American complicity. This confrontation, though it appears to be military and security-based, is in essence a major war targeting the entire project of resistance — from Tehran to Gaza.
Latest escalation: Aggressive maneuvers in the name of ‘Israeli security’
The Zionist entity launched an aerial assault targeting military sites deep within Iranian territory. Under recycled pretexts — related to Iran’s nuclear and missile programs — “Israel” continues its strikes, not only against Tehran, but also against its allies in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen.
But what’s happening isn’t just “preemptive strikes” as Western media claims — it is the continuation of a long war waged by the United States and “Israel” against the Axis of Resistance, aiming to break the balance of deterrence established by Iran and its allies after years of strategic patience and military development.
America and Israel: One goal behind false slogans
This escalation cannot be separated from direct American direction. The Biden administration, though claiming to seek de-escalation, in practice provides full political, military, and intelligence cover for this aggression.
The goal is clear: to dismantle the Axis of Resistance and deprive Iran of any ability to support its allies — first and foremost, the Palestinian resistance factions.
The U.S. administration knows that Iran’s strength does not lie solely in its nuclear program, but in its presence in the regional equation — from Lebanon to Iraq to Palestine. Therefore, striking Iran means breaking the backbone of the Jerusalem Axis.
What does Gaza and Palestine have to do with this?
Any attack on Iran is, by extension, an attack on Gaza. What is plotted in Tehran reflects immediately in the alleys of Khan Younis and the Jabalia refugee camp. The rockets that overwhelmed the Israeli army during the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle would not have reached the resistance without decades of accumulated Iranian support.
Now, the Zionist entity — with American backing — seeks to cut off the lifeline to Palestine and destroy the support network Iran has built for the resistance, whether in weapons, knowledge, or training.
Thus, striking Iran is not separate from the ongoing aggression on Gaza; it is a direct extension of it, and part of the suffocating siege aimed at weakening the Palestinian people’s ability to endure and resist.
The Axis of Resistance: Unity of fronts and a shared fate
The new equation imposed by the Axis of Resistance after the “Sword of Jerusalem” battle — and later the “Al-Aqsa Flood” — has become a nightmare for the enemy: the unity of fronts. No longer is Gaza alone, or the southern suburbs alone, or Sanaa alone.
Hence, the Zionist entity is now trying to preempt any emerging united front by striking at the center — Iran — before a full-scale confrontation erupts that could spell the end of “Israel” as we know it.
Conclusion: The battle continues… and Palestine remains the heart
We are facing a pivotal moment in the history of this struggle. The enemy seeks to paralyze the Axis of Resistance at its strategic core and turn the conflict into a fight for survival. Yet the Axis today is stronger than ever.
Despite the wounds, Gaza remains at the heart of this confrontation. The battle is not just being fought in Iranian territory or over the skies of Lebanon and Syria — it is being fought over the future of Palestine, from the river to the sea.
Therefore, it is the duty of all the free people of the world, and all honest journalists, to speak the truth.
If Israel emerges victorious from its ongoing confrontation with the Islamic Republic of Iran, the consequences of that victory will not be limited to Tehran or the Axis of Resistance alone. Rather, they will extend to impact the entire regional balance of power — with Türkiye’s role at the center of that shift.
An Israeli victory would, in effect, cement its dominance as an unchallengeable military force in the Middle East, fully backed by the United States. This would open the door to a new phase of political interference and pressure, especially against regional powers that still maintain a degree of independent decision-making — chief among them, Türkiye.
Türkiye, which seeks to maintain an independent and balanced role between East and West, and whose interests are intertwined with Russia, Iran, and Central Asian countries, would come under increasing pressure to reposition itself according to Israeli-American terms. It may find itself facing two options: either submit to the new regional equation, or enter an unwanted political — and possibly security — confrontation.
From this perspective, what is happening in Tehran today is not isolated from what could happen in Ankara tomorrow. If Iran falls as an independent regional power, Türkiye may be next in line.
The assault on Iran is an assault on Palestine. Defending Tehran is defending Jerusalem.
This battle has strategic implications not only for the Palestinian cause and the Axis of Resistance against Zionist-American hegemony, but its outcomes will extend across the entire region — particularly affecting major regional powers such as Türkiye, Iran, and Egypt.
If Iran stands firm and emerges victorious in this confrontation, it will strengthen the role of these countries in resisting Zionist arrogance and domination. One could even say that such a victory may bring an end to Zionist hegemony over the region and, as a result, weaken American influence as well.
It would allow these countries to become more independent and distant from U.S. control, which seeks to turn the peoples of the region into subjects by dividing them into warring sects and identities. Therefore, solidarity among these countries at this moment is one of the key elements of victory — and a potential beginning of liberation from Zionist-American domination.

Iran targets Mossad and Unit 8200 in missile attack on Tel Aviv

Iran announced it targeted Israeli intelligence centers, including Mossad and Unit 8200, in a ballistic missile attack on the Glilot Base near Tel Aviv.
A statement from the Revolutionary Guards Army noted, “This morning, the Iranian Aerospace Forces, despite highly advanced defense systems, carried out an effective attack on the military intelligence center Aman and the terror operations planning center Mossad, belonging to the Zionist regime; the said center is currently on fire.”
According to Ynet, multiple missiles struck the Herzliya area in the Tel Aviv region, setting a bus on fire and damaging an eight-story building. Videos of the missiles’ impact show large explosions in this area.
The Israeli press reported that military censorship is being enforced on the area in the Glilot region affected by the Iranian missiles, with news and images on the subject being suppressed.
This area houses significant intelligence centers like Mossad and Unit 8200. Some sources indicate that logistics or warehouse facilities belonging to Unit 8200 were targeted. Analysis of satellite and narrow-angle imagery confirms that the missiles landed near Mossad facilities.
The Israeli government has blocked the dissemination of information regarding the damage caused by the Iranian missiles.
Unit 8200, one of Israel’s elite intelligence units, operates under the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate, Aman. The unit, which specializes in electronic eavesdropping, cyber intelligence, signal interception, data collection, and analysis, is considered the backbone of Israel’s digital espionage operations. According to many commentators, Unit 8200 is Israel’s “cyber warfare brain.”
This morning, Iran announced the start of the ninth phase of “True Promise 3” and declared that its attacks on Israel would intensify.
In retaliation for Israeli strikes on Iran, ballistic missiles launched by Iran have caused unprecedented destruction in Tel Aviv and Haifa, leaving dozens dead and hundreds injured.
In response, Israel continues its air attacks on Iran. More than 224 Iranians, including women and children, have been killed in the Israeli strikes. A thick column of smoke rose following an explosion in Tabriz, northwest of Tehran, this morning.
Last night, the Israeli air force attacked the headquarters of Iranian state television during a live broadcast.

Iran signals NPT withdrawal amid rising tensions with Israel

Following Israeli attacks reportedly approved by the US, Iran has signaled a potential withdrawal from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Tehran announced it has suspended nuclear negotiations with the US and is preparing to leave the treaty.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei announced that the Iranian Parliament is drafting a bill to withdraw from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
According to a report by Al Jazeera, Baghaei reiterated Iran’s opposition to weapons of mass destruction, implying that this move is intended as a political message. However, he also affirmed that Tehran remains against the development of such weapons.
The NPT, signed in 1968 and enacted in 1970, has 190 member states. It prohibits signatory countries, other than the US, Russia, China, the United Kingdom, and France, from acquiring nuclear weapons. In return, it permits them to pursue peaceful nuclear programs for electricity generation under the supervision of the United Nations (UN).
This announcement comes amid heightened military tensions and nuclear threats between Iran and Israel over the past week.
How the NPT move was triggered
Iran’s decision follows a comprehensive air assault launched by Israel on June 13. The operation, codenamed “Rising Lion,” targeted Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, military command, and senior scientists.
The attacks resulted in the deaths of the Iranian Chief of General Staff, the Commander of the Revolutionary Guards, and nine nuclear scientists. According to Iranian authorities, a total of 224 civilians were killed.
In response, Iran launched over 100 ballistic missiles and drones at Israel. The retaliatory strikes hit Tel Aviv, Haifa, and several other cities, killing at least 24 people and injuring more than 400.
US-Iran nuclear talks halted
These developments have directly impacted diplomatic efforts. Iran announced an indefinite suspension of its nuclear negotiations with the US.
Hours before the Israeli attacks, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) published a report stating that Iran was not complying with its NPT obligations. Immediately following the report, Tehran announced the activation of a third uranium enrichment facility.
What is the NPT?
The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) is an international agreement signed in 1968 and enacted in 1970. It aims to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons, promote the reduction of existing arsenals, and encourage the peaceful use of nuclear energy. Iran has been a party to the treaty since 1970.
However, Iran began to gradually step back from its commitments under the agreement after US President Donald Trump withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal in 2018. The Trump administration reimposed severe sanctions on Iran, causing significant damage to its economy.
